So after a lot of deliberation and research, I’ve decided to make the characters of my novel a year younger than they were before, i.e., Sara and Benjamin are born in 1929 instead of 28, Saul in 28 instead of 27. I really want to emphasize how young the characters are, so being 14/15/16 will hammer in that sentiment a lot more than 16/17, you know? Plus, that would mean Saul get’s drafted at age 17, making him a lot more of a “boy soldier” than before. Most of my followers probably don’t care about lil details like this haha but I figured I’d let you guys know anyway, because my illustrations of my characters might start looking younger and I don’t want you guys to be confused.
