Hiatus apology + explanation

Hello all: I realize I haven't posted art in a long time. Truth is, I was nonstop with school in November, December and January, and when I did get rare moments of inspiration and free time, I'd be so rusty that I lost patience. After my January term, I was hoping that I'd be able to use my week off before the start of Spring sem to focus on my creativity. However, last Tuesday I found out that my wonderful cat, Oliver, who I've had for fifteen years, has terminal cancer, and that we'd have to put him to sleep. This has been fucking devastating to me, and has sapped me of all energy and motivation. He's really in pain, so I've been spending every minute I can by his side. Tomorrow (Friday, 2/10), my mom and I are taking him to the vet, and then we'll have to say goodbye. 
Long story short, I'm feeling very out of sorts and depressed, so aside from a painting of Oliver I've been working on, I wouldn't expect any activity from me for at least a week or two. Anyone who has lost a beloved pet should understand the toll it takes. Please keep my sweet boy in your thoughts and prayers.
