And it was for that brief moment that you were no longer a ragged boy with cut lips and hungry breath. You were a martyr with constellations of freckles and a voice like the desperate prayers inside the walls of hospitals and eyes that held a million different universes as a child holds water in cupped hands. There were infinities inside you, and I was blessed to get a glimpse of even one."

I really like how you are able to create blood/bruising effects. It has a grunge feel, but it is truly believable. Beautiful work.
