Description
"When was the last time I’d seen them holding hands? Briefly, I caught a glimpse of their clasped fingers between an endless sea of black clothing and tombstones. They cling tightly to one another among the waves of unfamiliar relatives, blurred old faces that pinch my cheeks and kiss me with the misguided hope of making me feel better, but instead all I am left with are alien lipstick stains and a spreading sense of isolation and panic. Eventually, there comes screaming fights behind closed doors. A crooked tie and the smell of unfamiliar perfume lingering on his lapel. A cold stillness settles in. No more bedtime stories. She doesn’t brush out my hair before school anymore. The piano gathers dust until Saul asks her how to play, so she teaches him. Why can’t she teach me, too?" – Vergessenheit, pg. 55

Ah! First time I've drawn these two together since God-know's when! Their designs haven't changed a great deal, but why fix what isn't broken? I've really come to love them both over the last several months, and I can't wait to further explore their characters.
